Our Story

Oasis Med Spa is the third branch of Oasis Eye Care, Optical & Med Spa. In 2016 I had a dream to create a beautiful office like no other in Venice. Dry Eye Disease is a huge problem within my patient population and treatments were not widely available. Insurance companies are constantly refusing to pay for the much-needed treatments patients need. I wanted to create a space in which patients would not feel like a doctor’s office but comfortable and pampered. A Dry Eye Med Spa! Christie, my wife, was intrigued but suggested we take it just a step further and make it a full Med Spa to utilize the space to its full potential.

In 2017 Oasis Eye Care & Optical Impressions moved into our beautiful location. So we purchased the IPL for the Dry Eye Treatments and a laser resurfacing handpiece (ResurFX). In the process, we learned that these two treatment modalities can accomplish a lot of great results for our patients that even goes beyond what we had hoped for.Since we have added a skin care line, Trilogy products that enhance and maintain the youthful skin our patients are searching for.

Christie McKinney

Registered Nurse & Licensed Esthetician

Growing up, I always had a passion for the human body and medicine. I decided in high school that I wanted to be a nurse. I attended West Texas A&M University where I met the love of my life, Trent McKinney. We were married 2 weeks after my college graduation.

Over the years, I worked in Ophthalmology, hospital floor nurse, Cardiac Critical Nurse, Representative for Pediatric Enrichment Program, Ophthalmic Tech and now Skincare Specialist. My passion isn’t in my work, but in helping people and teaching.

Outside of work, I try to keep up with my two teenage boys, attend and serve at church, lead mission trips and love on the girls in my mentoring group. I love watching my kids play baseball, the beach, and traveling.
